New growers to trial bush tomatoes

Several new growers in Central Australia have approached the Foundation to help them establish trials to meet growing demand for bush tomatoes. Foundation Chair, Peter Dalton, and I met with these growers and have received proposals for trial plantings in April with a view to harvesting fruit by the end of the year.

This is an exciting development given the shortage of fruit due to increasing demand and low yeilds from exising growers, due to unseasonal growing conditions, in the Center.
