Australian Bush Foods In Coles Supermarkets

Following a Foundation meeting with Nunga Produce on the Yorke peninsula earlier this year and ongoing work with Coles Supermarkets, the first crop of bunched bagatelles for Coles are being supplied to Coles South Australian stores from the Spring of 2015

Nunga is an Indigenous owned business with Ron Newchurch (second from left) a Nunga Director from Bookyana Farms at Port Victoria and Domonic Smith (third from right) from Pundit Farms in the Riverland providing most of the bunched vegetables to Coles.

In the photo with Ron and Domonic are local Coles managers, Topaz McAuliffe (centre) Coles National Indigenous Affairs Manager with Coles Fresh produce buyers Stacey Sutcliffe and Thibault Coste.

The Foundation, with the support of Coles, also supplied Bookyana with 400 Wild Lime Trees (pictured and ready for planting) to grow wild limes for sale to bush food processors, such as Outback Spirit, which are in short supply. A virtuous demand driven circle of success.
